Investigating God’s Word
by Dr. John Kwasny
Investigating God’s Word at Home: Series of 14 volumes
“You shall teach them [God’s commands] diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” — Deuteronomy 6:7
It’s an overwhelming responsibility. Life is busy and many things distract us from having those meaningful conversations and equipping our children to experience God by studying His Word. John Kwasny understands. His resources equip parents to share their faith with their children and encourage meaningful discussions that are grounded in deep theology.
God’s Word teaches us that the home is to be the primary location of the discipleship of children. As parents, we are called to teach the Scripture to the next generation and to engage with our children in discussions about what it means to love God and embrace Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. With eight children of his own, Dr. John C. Kwasny understands the struggles parents face.
As the Director of Christian Education and Children’s Ministry at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Ridgeland, Mississippi, John has ministered for over twenty-three years partnering with parents to disciple the next generation. John has earned an MA in Counseling and a PhD in Christian Education. He is also an adjunct professor at Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson) and Director of One Story Ministries, authoring children’s and youth curriculum for the church, home, and school.
